It was an experience like this that only heightened my desire to go into live painting. I remember this day like it was yesterday, 4 years ago. I remember starting the day going into work at @blickartmaterials for a full 8 hour shift, then rushing over to the Roseland ballroom where I would set up for the night as we agreed that I'd be live painting for a concert for Budweiser... only to discover that I would be painting for Jay-Z's New York tour stop on the 2013 Made In America tour. Knowing that I had 5 hours to work, I wanted to depict all things New York from the subway lines to the hustle and bustle of people moving to get closer to their dreams.
There is nothing like being put to the test, working with your imagination and navigating the canvas in real time in front of people and connecting with them.
The guitar was displayed two weeks later and auctioned off during the Philadelphia Made in America Festival and on display at the beer garden along with the 33 other state guitars.
Thanks for the memories Budweiser Made in America. Baby ArtisticRemedy, 2013. .
